John Annoni has been selected to receive the Bar Association of Lehigh County’s highest honor….the Liberty Bell Award. This award is reserved for leaders in their community who contribute to the promotion of freedom under the law and fosters a better understanding and appreciation of the rule of law in the community. Some past recipients are Mr. Stefan Presser, Esquire, Legal Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania and The Hon. Stephen J. McEwen, Jr., President Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
John was honored at the Bar Association’s Law Day Luncheon on Monday, May 3rd at 12pm. He was given the Liberty Bell plaque and was able to direct a $1000 contribution to a local non-profit of his choice. Camp Compass Academy was chosen to receive the award.
John Annoni is a teacher, author and Founder of the Camp Compass Academy an award-winning mentoring program that rewards the academic and social performance of inner-city youth with various outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing excursions. At-risk children in grades six through twelve attend weekly after-school sessions with volunteer educators where they receive supplemental academic instruction and are exposed to various vocational opportunities.
