Last year  over the Christmas holiday we spent time with our friends at B & J Guide service.  After 8 hours in a goose pit and not a bird to work we decided to tuck our tails between our legs and head home.  It was a long silenced and tired drive that I won’t forget. Our good friends starting making plans for a return.  We made good on that trip yesterday.  The hunt again was filled with anticipation but this time no words were spoke about how good the hunting would be.  No one wanted to Jinx the kids again.  The decoys were set and the pit was filled with eager students ready to make up for last year’s loss to the  geese of Canada.  The wind made shooting difficult but the boys came  out on top.  It was a great day of laughing, smiling and  shooting.  This year we won.  We guess it would only be right to go back next year and play the tiebreaker.
